Our Yoga for Stress Relief classes are designed to help you reduce stress and tension, and find peace and balance in your life. You'll learn breathing techniques, gentle yoga poses, and relaxation methods to help you release physical and mental stress.
Our Yoga for Flexibility classes are designed to help you increase your flexibility, improve your posture, and prevent injury. You'll move through a series of poses that stretch and strengthen different muscle groups, leaving you feeling more limber and agile.
Our Yoga for Strength classes are designed to help you build muscular strength, increase your endurance, and improve your overall fitness. You'll move through a series of poses that challenge your body and mind, leaving you feeling strong and empowered.
Our Prenatal Yoga classes are designed to help expectant mothers prepare for childbirth, reduce stress and anxiety, and maintain their physical and mental health during pregnancy. You'll learn poses and breathing techniques that are safe and beneficial for you and your baby.
Our Yoga for Seniors classes are designed to help older adults maintain their mobility, balance, and mental clarity. You'll move through a series of gentle poses that are modified for your needs and abilities, leaving you feeling more energized and confident.
Who is adaptive yoga for? Adaptive yoga is an umbrella term that can include yoga for specific conditions like multiple sclerosis, yoga for people with physical and mental disabilities, or even yoga for older ambulatory adults. Adaptive yoga is a style of yoga that considers all bodies and abilities. It’s accessible to everyone, and multiple variations are taught, allowing the poses to be adapted to specific needs and abilities. Accessible yoga is another common name for this practice. With Adaptive yoga, many poses are modified using a variety of props. It helps to have two blocks, one bolster, one strap, and one chair, but you only really need your body.
Restorative yoga is a restful practice that holds yoga poses (asanas) for a longer duration using props like yoga blocks, blankets, and bolsters. It is a practice of deep relaxation that emphasizes the meditative aspect of yoga—the union of body and mind. Through the use of props for support, many of the postures are held almost effortlessly.
Psychology shows that mindfulness can help us escape the vicious cycle of negative thinking, allowing us to “step outside the chattering negative self-talk” and our reactive impulses and emotions. Mindfulness offers a pause, a reset, and an alternate way of seeing ourselves and our environment by stepping out of ‘doing’ and into ‘being.’ the benefits of mindfulness come from its ability to help us “dial down the body’s response to stress." Mindfulness has proven effective in various situations, including helping those who suffer from anxiety, depression, and addictive behavior.
Sound Bath classes are designed to help you reduce stress, tension and find peace and balance in your life. A Sound Bath may leave you feeling calmer/less stressed, relieve pain, improve sleep, lessen muscle tension and improve overall mood and well-being.
